This may or may not be a connection with your Colley family.

My Aunt Lucy Manning Bullock married Edward Colley c1896 in Droitwich in 1917. They had two sons but I only know of one of them: William E Colley bn 1818 in Evesham. I think one son died in WW2 and the other was killed by being kicked by a horse.

Edward Colley 1896 was the son of Edward Colley and Elizabeth Harrison and had the following siblings:

William 1882
George 1884
Thomas 1887
Bertha 1890
James 1892
Ernest 1893

Cheers

Paula

:) My great grandfather was John Colley, born in Claines. A trip to the website clainesfriends will soon hold family history and photos of my ancestors. Other names attached include Hodges, Insull, Sangalls, Barlow, Nicholls among many. Earliest Colley known in this line came from Droitwich.

Hi Fran and welcome to parishmouse :)

Tis a funny thing but I went to school in Droitwich and one of the teachers had the surname Colley ... he was the best of the lot :D (thought I had better add that quick just in case he is related ;) )

Sorry to dredge up such an old thread but I am looking into the Colley family of Himbleton near Droitwich.
