tring to find the birth of william cooper 1740 only know his son was born mancetter warks and he married there in 1765 to alice jeffcoat.

hi kimberlynn. is 1740 an exact date? theres quite a few coopers in mancetter but i cant find one for that date. theres also a lot of jeffcoats there too so both parents could have come from there. there is a record of five children for william and alice though. thats on familysearch so you need to look elsewhere for confirmation. this is what ive found

it states alice b.c1744 and the marriage as 31.10.1765 is this any use? i have a lot of coopers in my tree but they come from glos and oxon so i dont think they will be related patx

hi pat, yes have that info, its williams father im after, as for date thats from that info too, but cant be sure its right, perhaps he was from somewhere else! i have no coopers from where yours are most of mine are from hartshill and ansley warks, but thanks anyway, kimx
