i have a john williams from shrewsbury, his parents were james and mary only problem is there are 2 families from shrewsbury and i am not sure which my john belongs to one family moved to newport and the other stayed in shrewsbury my john moved to birmingham help i am going bonkers trying to sort it out - any help would be appreciated.

hi again susen,same as before,give us some dates to play with. also did he marry? you might be able to find out what his father did from the certificate and that could decide which pair were his parents.patx

My john williams was born in 1815 in shrewsbury, his father as far as i know was a gardener, john became a marble polisher, he married an eliza henshaw, family search tells me she was from hollybead hollyhead derby, this means nothing to me as i cant find a hollyhead in derby.
i cannot find a marriage for john and eliza, they had the first daughter mary baptised at st julian in shrewsbury, but then all the other children including mary were baptised at st phillips on 16 april 1849, why i have no idea. where the family moved to, they are on the 1841 census.
