Hi all,

Im currently tracing my family tree and would be grateul if anyone has any information of a Smith family that lived in Droitwich, Worcestershire during the 1800's. They lived on Vines Lane and the family consisted of Head - John (b.1838), Wife - Ann (b. c.1841) John (b.1865) George (b.1867) Emily (b.1862) Eliza (b.1876) Annie (b.1871) and William (b.1877) and Harriett (1869) a very productive family!!!!

Prior to that, according to the 1851 Census the Family lived at Holloway Road, Droitwich, the family consisted of Head - John (b.1808), Wife Elizabeth (b.1808) John (b.1838) Mary Ann (b. 1833) and Edward (b.1841)

The John born in 1808 went on to become a Pansmith who according to the 1871 Census, employed 2 men and a boy.

Any info would be gratefully accepted!!

Thanks

Hi Matt

Came across the following Smith bap. records for St Peter de Witton, Droitwich:

William Wood Smith, bap 12 November 1830
Mary Ann, bap 2 November 1832
Elizabeth, bap 25 November 1835
John, bap 27 August 1837 and
Thomas Edward, bap 7 May 1840

Parents for the above; John and Elizabeth Smith. Occupation for John was recorded as a pansmith, except for the bap. of Mary Ann, he was recorded as a smith.

Sorry, did not spot a marriage for the parents.

HTH

Regards
